Julia grew up in Queensland playing underage cricket for most of her life. In 2022 she made the move to Tasmania and was contracted for Tasmania and the Hobart Hurricanes. She continues her career in Tasmania having just signed a two year contract with the Tasmanian Tigers for the 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons.
