Emily Mifsud began playing cricket in Sydney at 15, going on to win the First Grade Wicket Keeping award for most dismissals in 2011/12, before becoming a bowler the following year. As a bowler Emily regularly takes wickets with her deceptive off spin. In 2017-18, Emily won the First Grade Bowling award for most dismissals for the season with 37 wickets, extending her hold as the all-time leading wicket in Sydney First Grade. In 2018, Emily moved to Tasmania and trained with the Tigers and Hurricanes, where she was named in the Cricket Tasmania Premier League’s First XI.

Having played in the NT Strike League in 2019 with the Hobart Hurricanes, Emily had another successful Premier League season in Hobart during 2019-20, proving herself as an all-rounder, where she was jointly awarded the Kim Fazackerley Medal, for the best and fairest Female Player in Premier Cricket.
